Basketball Recap: Parkview Baptist Piles Up the Points Against GEO Next Generation

Parkview Baptist meant business on Friday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Tigers squad that has allowed just 29.81 points per contest. The Parkview Baptist Eagles breezed by the GEO Next Generation Tigers to the tune of 68-33. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 23 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, GEO Next Generation saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kimberly Jack posted 15 points. Jack is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Ivoryana Powell was another key player, putting up seven points.

Parkview Baptist is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for GEO Next Generation, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkview Baptist will host Port Allen at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for GEO Next Generation, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the GEO Next Generation Tigers face off against the Glen Oaks Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
