Basketball Recap: Achievement First Providence Takes a Loss

Achievement First Providence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Ponaganset Chieftains 67-36.

Achievement First Providence's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucas Cruz, who posted six points.

Brady Miller had a dynamite game for Ponaganset, going 9 of 12 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Pierre-Louis, who had 13 points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Achievement First Providence's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ponaganset, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Achievement First Providence and Narragansett will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Ponaganset, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Foxborough at 1:00 p.m. on December 27th.
