Softball Recap: Lincoln Park Comes Up Short

Lincoln Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 8-5 to the Niles North Vikings. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Eleanor Funke was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two RBI. Lindsey Shraiberg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lincoln Park's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Niles North, their record now sits at 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln Park will take on Von Steuben at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Niles North, they will challenge Maine West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
