Baseball Recap: Air Academy Victorious

While Air Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Roosevelt Roughriders on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kadets.

Keegan Cornelius looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

At the plate, Logan Sullivan was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Hendrickson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Air Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-0-1. As for Roosevelt, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Air Academy is taking a road trip to square off against West Salem at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Forest Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
