Basketball Recap: Southwest Florida Christian Triumphs

East Lee County came into Thursday's contest looking for another win against Southwest Florida Christian, but Asa Rogosich wouldn't allow it. The Southwest Florida Christian King's took down the East Lee County Jaguars 68-51 on Thursday thanks in part to Rogosich, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and 16 boards. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Southwest Florida Christian's points.

Another player making a difference was Noah Tafoya, who posted ten points and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Julius Georges, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points in addition to five boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Chin, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 11 points and eight rebounds.

Southwest Florida Christian's record is now 8-5. As for East Lee County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Southwest Florida Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-62 defeat against Seacrest Country Day on the 3rd. As for East Lee County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-62 loss against Estero on the 3rd.
