Basketball Recap: Acorn Comes Up Short

If Acorn was feeling good fresh off their 70-42 takedown of Oden on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Acorn Tigers fell just short of the Nevada Blue Jays by a score of 65-63 on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled against the Blue Jays recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Acorn's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Nevada, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Acorn will take on Waldron in a holiday battle at at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nevada, they will be home for the holidays to greet Genoa Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
