Basketball Recap: Mena Comes Up Short

Mena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 53-40 to the Pottsville Apaches. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Apaches are ranked 103rd).

Mena's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Pottsville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-7.

Mena will challenge Waldron at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pottsville has already played their next game (against Ozark), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
