Basketball Recap: North Cobb Christian Eagles vs. South Atlanta Hornets

The North Cobb Christian Eagles pushed their score all the way to 67 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of South Atlanta by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), North Cobb Christian still had to take the loss.

North Cobb Christian's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gabe Bolden, who scored 17 points along with six assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Robich, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and two steals.

South Atlanta's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saku Hurst led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Benton, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.

North Cobb Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6. As for South Atlanta, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Therrell the next time they take the court. South Atlanta will head out to face Therrell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while North Cobb Christian will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
