Soccer Game Preview: Georgetown vs. Weiss

The Georgetown Eagles will head out to take on the Weiss Wolves at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Georgetown came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-0 to Hendrickson. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Eagles haven't been shut out since back in January.

Meanwhile, Weiss unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Hendrickson, falling 4-1.

Georgetown's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those five contests. As for Weiss, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Georgetown skirted past Weiss 1-0 when the teams last played back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Georgetown since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
