Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Hartshorne

Caddo typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Hartshorne proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 67-57 victory over the Caddo Bruins. The win was all the more spectacular given the Miners' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Bruins are ranked 44th).

Hartshorne is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Caddo, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 14-3.

Hartshorne has already played their next game, a 59-46 defeat against Pocola on the 7th. As for Caddo, they will take on Calera at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Caddo is facing Calera at the right time seeing as Calera is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
