Desert Hills extended their postseason success on Tuesday against Logan. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Thunder as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Lulu West spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on seven hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Payten Benson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Desert Hills' victory bumped their record up to 29-2. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 19-13.
As of now, neither Desert Hills nor the Grizzlies have any future games scheduled.
