Basketball Game Preview: Burleson Elks vs. Centennial Spartans

Burleson is 1-9 against Centennial since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Burleson Elks will look to defend their home court against the Centennial Spartans at 7:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Burleson took a blow against Seguin, falling 78-25. The matchup marked the Elks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Centennial waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Owls 63-41. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while the Owls are ranked 443rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

This is the second loss in a row for Burleson and nudges their season record down to 20-14. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.
