Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View vs. Orem

Mountain View is 2-8 against Orem since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mountain View barely beat Uintah the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bruins never let the Utes get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. Considering Mountain View have won five matches by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Orem faced Timpanogos in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Tigers beat the Timberwolves by a goal, winning 2-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 14, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Cody Anderson and Diego Solorzano scored both of Orem's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 27 goals.

Mountain View pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Orem, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
