Volleyball Recap: Hobbs Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Hobbs was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Roswell on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles came up short against the Clovis Wildcats on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hobbs was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.

Brynn Petner went supernova For Clovis., getting 16 digs, seven kills, and three aces. Petner is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 19 games she's played. Sophie Roberts was another key player, getting ten digs and five kills.

Hobbs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Clovis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-10.
