Softball Recap: Rosewood's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

If Rosewood was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of East Wake Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Rosewood fell just short of the North Duplin Rebels by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 10, 2024.

Hayley Bedford made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Skyler Strickland also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Rosewood moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for North Duplin, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rosewood will welcome James Kenan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for North Duplin, they will challenge East Duplin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Duplin will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something North Duplin surely won't give up without a fight.
