Basketball Recap: Clark County Comes Up Short

Clark County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat. They lost to the Alturas Prep Pumas at home by a 58-41 margin. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-17 back in December of 2024.

Alturas Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Korbin Russum-Stubbs led the charge by putting up 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Russum-Stubbs has scored at least a third of Alturas Prep's points. Another player making a difference was Cody White, who posted 16 points.

Clark County's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Alturas Prep, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-10.

Clark County has already played their next contest, a 61-24 defeat against Watersprings on the 6th. Alturas Prep has also already played their next game (against Leadore), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
