Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Rivercrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Bowie Pirates by a score of 59-49 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-32 back in December of 2024.

Rivercrest has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-19 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Bowie, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-11.

Coincidentally, Rivercrest and Bowie will both be playing Maud the next time they take the court. Bowie will host Maud at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Rivercrest will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on January 31st.
