Recap: Freehold Township Patriots vs. Toms River North Mariners
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Freehold Township Patriots, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a serious blow against Toms River North on Friday, falling 54-13. Freehold Township's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Although Freehold Township took the loss, they still got scores from Gianpaul Cortes and Nick Carnevale.
Freehold Township's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Toms River North, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
Freehold Township does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Toms River North will be playing at home against Washington Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington Township will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
