Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Christian Mendoza stepped things up a notch to give Bloom the 'W'. Mendoza was dynamite, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Bloom's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-1 (and 5-10 when he doesn't).

Looking ahead, Mendoza and Bloom will venture away from home to take on Thornton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blazing Trojan are a perfect 10-0 against the Wildcats going back to May of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
