Football Game Preview: Wray Eagles vs. Wiggins Tigers

Wray has gone 9-1 against Wiggins recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Eagles will welcome the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Wiggins took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Wray, who comes in off a win.

Wray is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Yuma 51-13 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Outlaws: they've now won six in a row.

Austin Collins had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 208 yards and three TDs on only 15 carries, while also throwing for 167 yards and a pair of touchdowns. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.3 rushing yards per game. Aaron Tena was Collins' top target, picking up 23 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wray was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 305 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Wiggins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 16-2 bruising from Holyoke.

Wray's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Wiggins, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Everything came up roses for Wray against Wiggins in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-7 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
