Baseball Game Preview: West Field Longhorns vs. Sky View Bobcats

For the second straight game, West Field will face off against Sky View. West Field is taking a road trip to take on Sky View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

West Field is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Sky View on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Longhorns with their most commanding win of the season.

Bryce Bagby looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, West Field got a massive performance out of Kanyon Pratt, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those doubles were Pratt's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Boston Kap, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.

West Field always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .629. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sky View only posted an OBP of .391.

West Field has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. The loss snapped Sky View's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-7 record.
