It's playoff time, and Abbeville Christian Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles on Tuesday. The Generals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by six runs or more this season.

Taylor Bower made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Riddge Crawford, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Abbeville Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-1 (and 10-15 when he doesn't). Matthew Bush was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

With the win, Abbeville Christian Academy broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-16. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
