Weaver extends home winning streak to seven

The Weaver Beavers put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 75-57 victory over Academy of Aerospace and Engineering. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Weaver's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Fazal Khan led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 18 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Khan scored 15 or more points. Madden Cupe was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Weaver's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Academy of Aerospace and Engineering, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2-1.
Weaver will be playing at home against Conard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's road trip will continue as they head out to face Capital Prep at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th.
