Laurel scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Sussex Tech Ravens by a score of 11-9. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Laurel saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Micah Niblett, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was Niblett's first of the season. Another was Tristen Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Laurel's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for Sussex Tech, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Laurel will square off against Lake Forest at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sussex Tech, they will take on Sussex Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
