Volleyball Recap: Knoxville Christian Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Knoxville Christian and Varsity Opponent, and Knoxville Christian kept the tradition alive. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Varsity Opponent 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against Varsity Opponent on Friday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Knoxville Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-13, 15-10.

Savanah Dunham paced Knoxville Christian's offense, picking up 18 kills. Dunham got some help from Lily Warren and her 23 assists. Dunham also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Chloe Hammann, each putting up two.

Knoxville Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
