Morningside Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Arianah Wallace, who dropped a triple-double on 11 points, 13 boards, and ten steals, and Emmilina Miller, who posted 17 points. Wallace has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Selah Montero was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Master's Academy played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Jupiter Christian, falling 51-21. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Alison Viersma was Master's Academy's leading scorer, having posted 11 points. Cadence Learned held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.
Morningside Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.4 points per game. As for Master's Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Morningside Academy has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 30.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Master's Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 28.3 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
