Football Recap: Institute of Tech Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Institute of Tech entered their tilt with South Jefferson on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Spartans 36-15. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Spartans are ranked 384th).

Leading Institute of Tech to victory were Samir Salaam Jennings-Bey and Tyquanne Harris. Salaam Jennings-Bey rushed for 112 yards and two TDs on only 14 carries, while Harris rushed for 65 yards and one touchdown.

Institute of Tech's run defense was locked in: South Jefferson could only muster one yards per carry. The Eagles didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.9.

Institute of Tech didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Nyquan Gilbert and Dj Adams.

Institute of Tech's record is now 6-1. As for South Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Institute of Tech will host Central Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Jefferson, they will venture away from home to take on Indian River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
