Volleyball Recap: South Sevier Takes a Loss

If South Sevier was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Emery on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Morgan Trojans on Friday. The Rams have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Kinsey Parsons paced South Sevier's offense, picking up 13 kills. Parsons got some help from Cooperlynne Green and her 19 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Morgan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerstyn Payne, who had 11 digs and three aces. Kate Brewer was another key player, getting 12 assists and five digs.

South Sevier's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Morgan, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

South Sevier has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Carbon on the 11th. As for Morgan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Emery on the 11th.
