Basketball Game Preview: Weldon Valley Warriors vs. Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves

The Weldon Valley Warriors are taking a road trip to face off against the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Weldon Valley will be strutting in after a win while Twin Peaks Classical Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Weldon Valley beat Rocky Mountain Lutheran 57-52.

It was another big night for August Filter, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 26 points. The game was his fifth in a row with at least 21 points. Another player making a difference was Zander Braun, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 boards.

Meanwhile, Twin Peaks Classical Academy played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 67-39 loss at the hands of Loveland Classical. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Weldon Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 6-11.

Weldon Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Twin Peaks Classical Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 62-59. Will Weldon Valley repeat their success, or does Twin Peaks Classical Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
