Volleyball Preview: Seckman Jaguars vs. North County Raiders

The Seckman Jaguars are on the road again on Wednesday to play the North County Raiders at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Seckman narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Ste. Genevieve 2-1.

Seckman had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-22.

Seckman can attribute much of their success to Sophie Steinbrueck, who had 12 digs and two aces, and Ava Hall, who had 11 digs. That's the most aces Steinbrueck has posted in her last seven matchups.

Meanwhile, North County posted their biggest victory since September 12th on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over St. Paul Lutheran.

North County never let St. Paul Lutheran on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-18, 25-21.

North County relied on the efforts of Adrean Lynne Aubuchon, who had 15 digs, and Lily Barton, who had six digs and two aces.
