Baseball Game Preview: Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets vs. Farmville Central Jaguars

The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to challenge the Farmville Central Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Roanoke Rapids will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.

Roanoke Rapids came up short against Ayden - Grifton on Saturday, falling 20-12. The Yellowjackets have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Reidsville hit Farmville Central with a five-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jaguars took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trey Williford made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one run and one double. Thomas Mosley also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Roanoke Rapids' loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Farmville Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
