After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sam Houston, Arlington was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Bowie Volunteers 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Arlington as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

Emmanuel Garcia was the driving force of Arlington's attack as he scored both of Arlington's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Arlington's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-9-2. As for Bowie, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Arlington is set to square off against their familiar foe Lamar at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bowie will face off against rival Haltom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
