Baseball Recap: Desert Edge Scorpions vs. North Canyon Rattlers

There's no place like home for Desert Edge, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. Everything went their way against the North Canyon Rattlers on Monday as the Desert Edge Scorpions made off with a 13-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Scorpions needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Desert Edge let Justice Scott and Zeus Durazo run wild. Scott scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Durazo went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Scott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Coleman, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Desert Edge hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Canyon struck out seven times.
