Football Recap: Myhles Norman Leads Northridge's Defense on Friday

Northridge and South Bend Saint Joseph squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Northridge had to settle for second. They fell 14-7 to the Huskies. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Northridge still got an impressive performance from Keivontre Copeland, who picked up 26 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 35 yards.

Northridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Myhles Norman. Northridge got some further help from Colt Granberg: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles.

The critical scores for South Bend Saint Joseph came from James Criniti and Antwone Ross.

Northridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Northridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Bend Saint Joseph, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-7 win against Mishawaka on the 7th.
