Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ironwood Ridge). Everything went their way against the Maricopa Rams on Tuesday as they made off with a 21-2 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Nighthawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

The victory snapped Ironwood Ridge's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-7 record. As for Maricopa, their record is now 10-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ironwood Ridge will face off against Sahuarita at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Nighthawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Maricopa, they will challenge Catalina Foothills at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
