Soccer Game Preview: NCSSM: Morganton vs. Jackson Day

The NCSSM: Morganton Dragons will face off against the Jackson Day Mariners at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. NCSSM: Morganton's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

NCSSM: Morganton is headed into Wednesday's match following a draw, the team's first since August 21. Neither they nor Queen's Grant could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Jackson Day came up short against Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy on Wednesday, falling 10-1. Jackson Day were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-1.

Their goal came courtesy of Caden Merritt, who's now up to four this season.

NCSSM: Morganton's draw gives them a new season record of 10-6-2. As for Jackson Day, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
