Basketball Recap: Plains Takes a Loss

Plains was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 35-34 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln County Lions. The Horsemen lost against the Lions in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-37 score last time.

Plains' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lincoln County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plains will venture away from home to face off against Alberton on Thursday. As for Lincoln County, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Lincoln County Lions face off against the Superior Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. on February 1st.
