Baseball Recap: Loudon Beats King's Academy for Their Third Straight Victory

While Loudon's victory against King's Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Redskins skirted past the Lions 5-4. The win was nothing new for the Redskins as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Caden Ridings, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Loudon's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-13 when he doesn't). Noah Eller was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Loudon's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for King's Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Loudon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against Manatee on the 11th. As for King's Academy, they are taking a road trip to challenge Alcoa at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Tornadoes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
