Volleyball Game Preview: Adena Warriors vs. Huntington Huntsmen

Adena is a perfect 10-0 against Huntington since September of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Huntsmen at 6:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Adena didn't have quite enough to beat Shekinah Christian and fell 3-2. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Adena actually scored more points across those five sets (110-109), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 20-25, 25-23, 20-18.

Despite the loss, Adena got top-tier performance from Kimmy Dalton, who had 47 digs and three aces. Dalton has been hot for a while, having posted two or more aces the last ten times she's played.

Meanwhile, Huntington waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Bearcats 3-0.

Huntington was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-16.

Huntington's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Adena, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 17-1.

Everything went Adena's way against Huntington when the teams last played on September 4th, as Adena made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Huntsmen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
