Volleyball Recap: Delta Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kinley Davis and Kate Manor

Delta was the 3-0 winner over Muncie Burris when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Owls on Wednesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-20.

Delta's loss came despite strong showings from Kate Manor and Kinley Davis. Manor had 34 assists and seven digs, while Davis had 12 digs. Manor has been hot, having posted 12 or more assists the last eight times she's played.

Muncie Burris found their leader in sophomore Anna Murray, who had five digs and two aces.

Delta's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Muncie Burris, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1.

Looking ahead, Delta will take on Western at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Muncie Burris, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Wapahani on the 11th.
