Softball Game Preview: Timber Creek Wolves vs. Lyman Greyhounds

The Timber Creek Wolves will face off against the Lyman Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Timber Creek is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Timber Creek fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against East River on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-3. The Wolves' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Gabbi Scott spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on ten hits.

On the hitting side, Timber Creek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eva Martinez, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They came up short against Lake Mary, falling 16-1.

Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Timber Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
