After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hesperia, Serrano was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Apple Valley Sun Devils. This was a revenge game for the Diamondbacks: when they faced off against the Sun Devils back in September, they had to take a 3-2 loss.

Serrano was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-5, 25-16.

Alexia Burns paced Serrano's offense, picking up ten kills. Burns got some help from Hailey Orozco and her 17 assists. Mia Quijada controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Serrano is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-10 record this season. As for Apple Valley, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12.

Serrano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Oak Hills on the 8th. As for Apple Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hesperia on the 6th.
