Basketball Game Preview: Scottsboro Wildcats vs. Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors

The Scottsboro Wildcats and the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Scottsboro has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Scottsboro saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 70-61 victory over Kate Duncan Smith DAR.

Meanwhile, Whitesburg Christian Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 55-51 to Fort Payne. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Wildcats are ranked 38th).

Scottsboro's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Scottsboro barely slipped by Whitesburg Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in November, winning 56-55. Will Scottsboro repeat their success, or does Whitesburg Christian Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
