Avon Park is 9-1 against Frostproof since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Eric Harrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Pollitt, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Frostproof was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of Fort Meade.

Colton Paulk was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Landon Fuller also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Frostproof's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Avon Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
