Basketball Game Preview: Tri County Area Vikings vs. Morley Stanwood Mohawks

Tri County Area hasn't had much luck against Morley Stanwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tri County Area Vikings will venture away from home to face off against the Morley Stanwood Mohawks at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tri County Area is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They snuck past Chippewa Hills with a 52-47 win on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Morley Stanwood waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They secured a 31-25 W over the Wildcats. Given the Mohawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Wildcats are ranked 432nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Morley Stanwood's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Tri County Area, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 2-6.

Tri County Area was taken down by Morley Stanwood 58-26 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Tri County Area avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
