After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Farmington, Cleveland was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Piedra Vista Panthers 11-1. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Cleveland has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Piedra Vista, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Cleveland will square off against rival Volcano Vista at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Piedra Vista is set to face off against their familiar foe Rio Rancho at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
