Baseball Recap: Owosso Wins Going Away Against Corunna

Owosso won the last time they faced Corunna and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 11-3 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Jace Norton looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ryan Maier was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Moore, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Owosso's win bumped their record up to 20-10. As for Corunna, their loss was their 11th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-17.
