Volleyball Game Preview: Stoneman Douglas Eagles vs. Cooper City Cowboys

The Stoneman Douglas Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Cooper City Cowboys at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Stoneman Douglas faced off against Flanagan on Monday. Stoneman Douglas fell just short of Flanagan by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost five in a row.

While Stoneman Douglas ultimately came up short, they really made Flanagan work, particularly in the fourth set. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 17-25, 26-24, 15-9.

Meanwhile, Cooper City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Plantation. While the Cowboys didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Paladins 25-19 in the first set.

Cooper City started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23.

Stoneman Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cooper City, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
