Evangel Christian came tearing into Thursday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let Hope Christian Academy get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 9-5 victory on Thursday.

Evangel Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AIDEN VENABLE, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI VENABLE has posted since back in February. Another was MAX WATSON, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Evangel Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Hope Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.
