Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Salina Central Mustangs, falling 13-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Railroaders have suffered against the Mustangs since April 20, 2021.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Salina Central, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

While Newton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
